Real ‘Atte’ is Fine ‘Art’.
Atte Clothing by Ahmed Adelakun started unofficially in 2010, but things kicked off officially this year (2012). ‘Atte’ is a homonym of ‘Art’, it was crafted to depict the word ‘art’ and whatever synonyms might be attached to it. The name stands to show that more than being functional and meeting basic clothing needs, they strive to be better, bringing more artistic, trendy, fashionable offerings. Its creators have always been lovers of fashion, and they have always enjoyed wearing good brands as well as admired pure creativity when they come across it.
“I could say it wasn’t something that has always been top of mind for me, but its always been embedded deep down. As I stated, I’ve always been a lover of good fashion, I’d say it happened when a friend of mine and I, (who I would say enjoys fashion as much as I do) sat together some day and imagined up some nice designs for shirts we would like to wear, we tried searching a few stores but couldn’t find what we wanted, then an idea came to us about making them for ourselves, so we got materials, and sourced out good tailors who did a neat job.When we started going out in our good looking fitted shirts, people would ask us where do you shop? Where do you get your clothes? Could you help me get some like yours? So the idea came up to start making some of these shirts for a few friends with our designs for a little commission. More orders started rolling in; and then it became a no-brainer and the company was born. What I love about my company would be the great potential it holds for the future.” They make Shirts, Trousers, Blazers and Suits (Male and Female).
